So, if you thought those Gen Y types are wasting time with their X-box addiction, you are wrong. Video games are greasing the wheels of the digital economy. In fact, if you want to reach Gen Y with product placements, forget television, and get your products in their favorite video games.
But if you want to know where the real money is, think adult entertainment. According to CNet news, the adult entertainment industry reached $ 12 billion dollars in 2005. That is larger than the video game industry and Hollywood. And that is why you will find the Adult Entertain Expo running concurrently with the Consumer Electronics Show in sin city. Sorry King Kong, but the real 800-pound gorilla is not appearing on a big screen near you. In fact, if CES is any indication, think small screen.
