Marketing Blurb loves Valentines Day. Fortunately, our wife shuns expensive flowers and candy or a night on the town. (Our girlfriend, on the other hand, insists on a candlelight dinner at an over-priced crowded restaurant.) But if you tire of the obligatory restaurant routine, White Castle offers a much more reasonable alternative. On
Valentines Day from 5 to 8 PM, White Castle is offering their own candlelit dinner with cloth covered-tables and romantic music. Reservations are accepted, and a specially dressed host or hostess will seat you for the evening. Oh, and the menu is affordable standard White Castle fare. This promotion started in St. Louis and Minneapolis 16 years ago, and has been spreading to other cities since then. Almost 50 locations in New York are participating for the first time this year. Marketing Blurb applauds this promotion, but will still gaze lovingly at the wife across our own dining room table.
