Something is wrong in the US auto industry. Marketing Blurb cannot fix the problem, but we can shine light on promising developments—at least developments in auto
marketing. General Motors is running a rather bold 30-second commercial for Pontiac, (restricted to the Florida regional market for the present time.) The commercial concludes with a novel call to action--"Don't take our word for it. Google Pontiac and discover for yourself." There is no name or phone number for the local dealer, just an actual Google screenshot with Pontiac typed in. This call to action is certainly bold. Fortunately, when you check Pontiac in Google, you will encounter positive results, not just from Pontiac.com, but from enthusiast sites like Classicalpontiac.com, HighPerformancePontiac.com, PontiacPower.com and even Pontiac's Wikipedia.org entry. The commercial was prepared by Local Zing Inc. of Florida, and a screen capture of the conclusion is available on the agency's blog. Marketing Blurb learned about this from Max Kalehoff of Neilsen BuzzMetrics.

Whoa, I didn't create the ad, I was just commenting on it. My agency provides local advertising and marketing services via various web technologies. My point on this commercial was that local dealers could have capitalized on this ad by bidding on the "pontiac" keyword for a certain geographic area.
