A Diamond for Valentine’s Day

About five years ago, the diamond industry realized that affluent single women were diamond.jpgpurchasing their own right-hand diamond rings. (After all, why wait for some lunkhead guy to figure out what you want?) The Diamond Trading Company launched a brilliant “Women, Raise Your Right Hand” campaign, and non-engagement diamond ring sales boomed.

Well, this year, The Diamond Trading Company is pitching a national Valentine’s Day campaign which includes print, radio, online and street teams. Ads will appear in USA Today, The New York Times and Sports Illustrated. Only this time, the campaign is directed to guys, who need to get with the program and understand it is okay to buy their woman a right-hand diamond ring. It turns out that 70% of right-hand diamond rights are purchased as gifts, and if you really love that woman…well, you get the idea. Marketing Blurb loves woman and diamonds, and says go for it!
