Okay, folks. You know that Marketing Blurb has called Kellogg’s and other cereal companies on the carpet for advertising to children. But we decided to back off, for awhile anyway, because we just learned that February 19th is the 100th anniversary of the Kellogg’s company. As it turns out, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg and William Keith Kellogg, the company founders, believed in healthy nutrition and exercise. It wasn't until years later that their cereals added enough sugar to choke a moose. Today, the $ 10.2 billion dollar, number 2 cereal producer is working on a number of fronts to improve their ingredients and manufacturing process to enhance nutrition. So go ahead and celebrate their birthday this month with liberal amounts of Rice Krispies, Special K, Eggo frozen waffles and Keebler cookies.
