Agencies,) Al Gore challenged advertisers to join him on a quest to
save the planet from global warming.
According to Media Post, “the former vice president unveiled plans for a massive advertising collaborative of leading environmental and faith-based organizations to combat global warming, and asked the agency executives to match it "dollar for dollar" with pro bono contributions.” Gore did not speak with the press afterwards, creating the impression he believes advertisers rather than the news media, will be more effective in winning this campaign.
