When Marketing Blurb was young, we could blow pink bubbles as big as your head. (There is not much demand for this talent anymore.) We used Bazooka Bubble Gum, naturally, and followed the antics of Bazooka Joe and his friends on the mini comic included with the gum. But most kids today have never even heard of Bazooka Joe or the gum. Well, we just heard from AdRants, that this is about to change. Bazooka parent company Topps is about to spend $ 4 million to revitalize the brand. This includes a new gang for Bazooka Joe. You can meet the gang at the Bazooka website. Now here’s the bad news. Topps has insisted that the Bazooka Joe gang is politically correct. The original gang was a bunch of hoodlums. The new gang is a bunch of weenies. Ah, well. Real men don’t chew gum anyway.
