You already know that Marketing Blurb is a boomer. We are not embarrassed, either. But we do get anxious when articles refer to boomers as “aging boomers,” or use boomers and seniors as synonymous terms. So we are not especially keen on this Reuters article, Food makers are reaching out to aging boomers. The article says food companies are repositioning or repackaging foods for either boomers / aging boomers / or seniors, depending upon which paragraph you read. Here’s the problem--those couples profiled who just sent their kids off to college are not the same folks who cannot reach or read food packages in the grocery. Marketing Blurb suspects this article was written and edited by someone younger.
