Your mother always told you to eat breakfast, and your mother is wise. Your mother never told you to eat at McDonald’s for breakfast, because she knows better. But since countless Americans ignore mom and skip breakfast, McDonald’s sees an opening. The fast food giant is launching a new campaign to give "morning-impaired" customers an excuse to stop by for breakfast en route to work. The campaign includes outdoor advertising, point-of-sale, and street teams dispensing McDonald’s new premium. Oh, and there is a website, too—called McMornings where you can use the excuse generator to explain to the boss why you are late. You didn’t stop for breakfast, you see--you were secretly abducted by aliens—honest. Or pick another excuse. Marketing Blurb thinks this is great fun. No, we will not personally stop at McDonald’s for breakfast, but we will look for one of the street teams with coffee. Hell, we might even join a street team and serve coffee. Are you awake yet?
