The Wm. Wrigley Jr. company just launched its first new product in nearly a century—
Doublemint Twins. Doublemint Twins are not gum, but mints featuring two flavors in
one bite-sized chew. The new product is supported by a clever variation on their famous twins advertising. The twins hawking these mints are well, kindred spirits, not actual twins. Think of you and your dog, for example. Visit the
website, where you can view twin galleries, and vote for your favorite.
Marketing Blurb believes mints are a refreshing change from watching people gum, which is very unsightly. But gum is no laughing matter. Don't swallow, but Wrigley’s sold about $ 4 billion worth of gum last year.

I would assume mints are better for the company since they don't last as long as a piece of gum. Good marketing and a good product switch.
