Schools receive free televisions, and satellite dishes to receive the broadcasts which include advertising targeting teens. A study by Washington State University confirms what you might expect, that students watching Channel One remember and even purchase advertised products which include fast food and video games. Of course, advertisers argue that students are exposed to similar advertising outside the classroom. Marketing Blurb loves marketing and education more than the next pundit.
