We are all keenly aware of the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina. But wander in-land from shore, and Louisiana is still a gem of Southern beauty. Unfortunately, the hurricane devastated tourism state wide. So, Governor Landrieu just announced a $ 5 million advertising campaign called “Fall in Love with Louisiana All Over Again,” in an effort to promote positive images and dispel misconceptions about the state. (62% of those polled, for example believe Louisiana scenery was destroyed by the storm.) Celebrities and musicians are donating appearances for the campaign. Read the Baton Rouge Advertiser for more.
