according to a survey conducted by RBC Capital Markets 75% of those polled said they had no interest in watching television on their cell phones. But this will not stop Cingular Wireless from launching a new service called
Cingular Video. The service allows subscribers to view three to five-minute clips from 18 different television channels including the Cartoon Network, NBC, and ESPN. Cingular will also partner with Fox News and HBO to offer exclusive video content based on
The Sopranos, Sex in the City, and other programs.
Marketing Blurb loves the advance of technology, but palm-sized video screens is not the way to go in our view, which incidentally, is cell phone closed.
