tiny billboards on the lower-left corner of the iTunes library as users listen to podcasts.” Sooner or later, we can expect these advertisement will be targeted by the user’s selection of music. There is no advertising on the iPod player as yet, but let’s just say the serpent is tempting Apple with that apple as well.
Marketing Blurb is indifferent. We are not an iTunes user, but when we have visited the site, we never could distinguish between editorial and advertising. Pop music is a band brand positioning exercise first and an art form second. We’re not convinced iPod users will even notice the advertising. If some one will give us an iPod, we’ll take a look.
