Our wife, (and our girl friend, for that matter) hates taking
Marketing Blurb to cocktail parties. We always embarrass them by mentioning to someone that we have never seen an episode of
American Idol. (And we learned very quickly how lepers feel.) But
just because we have more important things to do than watch this trash does not mean that we do not appreciate the commercial value of the show. In fact, we learned from
Advertising Age, that a spot on the season finale of
American Idol runs $ 1.3 million. More than 29.4 million viewers are expected to tune in. We want those viewers to enjoy the show. And we hope the pay attention to the advertising, and we hope they buy something to keep our economy humming.
