Marketing Blurb has nothing against Ronald McDonald. In fact, we love his smile and colorful threads. We would gladly invite Ronald to join us for a beer. But the Burger King is another matter. Maybe Gen Y thinks the King is cool, but we think he is creepy at
best, and wish he would quietly disappear. Give us one of those old yellow paper crowns instead. But for those who love Burger King, get ready to see the King do battle on a series of new Xbox games from Microsoft. According to
Advertising Age, (free registration required) “Burger King and Microsoft are partnering for a first-of-its-kind deal that will build three video games around the restaurant chain's ubiquitous mascot, putting him into shoot'em-ups that will be a cross between "Halo" and "Destroy All Humans." The games will be available in BK restaurants at a discount, and sold at retail as well. This sounds like fun--we think.
