executives recently gathered at the Milkin Institute Global Conference to discuss the future of the media business in the new world order of social networking and consumer-generated media. These executives were apparently puzzled by the popularity of inane video clips widely shared across multiple digital platforms. We must share this delightful quote from Reuters. Robert Iger, CEO of the Walt Disney Company, said "I don't know how many times you can watch a pet bite someone in the crotch, but somehow this is interesting to people. I'm not sure it's necessarily bad for the traditional industry because we are living in a world where people are consuming more [media content]." Perhaps it wouldn’t be long before that dog is Pluto.
