Marketing Blurb is not especially keen on Martha Stewart. To be fair, we don’t really
watch her show, read her magazine, or buy her merchandise. We just don’t like her press. (And since she was in fact convicted of securities fraud, we generally wish she would just go away.) But we are clearly in a minority, because Macy’s department store just announced they are going to offer a new line of upscale home merchandise from the delinquent diva. Premiering in the fall of 2007, the line will include bedding sheets, dishes, cookware, holiday decorations and garden furniture. The product does not complete with Stewart’s offering at Wal-mart. Sorry, Martha—we’re not buying. Can you just disappear quietly, please? Photo Credit: Associated Press
