Marketing Blurb loves outdoor billboards and marquees more than the next pundit. We
think Times Square is an advertising theme park, and we never tire of the larger than life images. But if you are serious about advertising large, think outside Times Square. Think the Nevada Desert. To celebrate their 100th issue, Maxim magazine has constructed a giant magazine cover in the desert near Vegas. The issue measures 75 X 110 feet—that’s a truck you see parked alongside in the image.
And not far from the monster image of Eva Longoria you can visit the Stardust Hotel. Samsung has covered the entire side of the building with see-through weather-resistant
material that displays an advertisement for Samsung cellular phones large enough to cover 61 football fields. Marketing Blurb is impressed. King Kong or Godzilla, or both can use the building to phone home.
