Pop-up stores are all the rage these days, at least if you live in a major metro. In case you’re puzzled, a pop-up store is a temporary retail location which pops up for just a short time to draw attention to a new product, or new retail concept. JC Penney’s tried
one recently to showcase more upscale merchandise, but we understand that other than the Press, real prospects yawned and walked on by. Manhattan is a favorite site for pop-up stores, because they lack real Midwest mega-stores. All that said, the newest pop-up entry is Nicorette, which will open their location at 42nd Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenue for
four days. They will help you stop smoking—see—but will also be out of town before you know if their product works!
