The NY Times quotes Pat Conroy, vice chairman and national managing principal for the consumer business practice at Deloitte & Touche in Indianapolis, who says "Those wishing to be successful in the market can't ignore the boomer numbers, the wealth and spending power they have." According to The NY Times, boomers have always redefined the culture of their age. So if you have a product you must market to the 18 to 49 year-old crowd--go ahead. But if you’re looking for real opportunity, court a boomer.
