Marketing Blurb loves print advertising more than the next pundit. We believe that magazines offer an outstanding opportunity to target advertising messages to a meaningful vertical audience. And we love online advertising too, because it is secretly just direct marketing on steroids, and there are all kinds of clever metrics you can use you to gage the effectiveness of your campaign. So when Merrill Lynch just announced that they expect online advertising will overtake magazine advertising in 2006, we are not alarmed. Savvy magazines already have a web presence, and are already encourage advertisers to buy both mediums.
