A company called Spot Runner provides ready-made television spots which can be customized with merchant messages for local markets. Merchants can select a generic 30-second spot from inventory, and then customize the narration and logo for only about $ 350 to $ 500. Using the Spot Runner service includes limited-time exclusivity to the spot to prevent competitors from using the same material.
