Marketing Blurb loves comic books. We only stopped reading them when we turned 21 because girls mad fun of us. But comic books are serious stuff, and we are not surprised that advertisers are now turning to super heros for hip product placement. We’re not talking about replacing Spiderman's arachnid logo with a Nike swoosh just yet, but Marvel does allow minor characters wear Nike gear as shown in this example. In July, DC Comics is launching a new mini series called Rush. Rush is really just a promotional vehicle for General Motors. The main character spends all his time driving around in a Pontiac Solstice, dodging bullets and thwarting the bag guys.
