last fall when British student Alex Tew created a website to sell online advertising for $1 per pixel. He wanted to create a million dollar website to pay his college expenses. The media loves personal interest stories like this, and sure enough, Tew has the money and probably doesn't even need to finish his college education. This triumph is inspiring others, including a trio of Miami-area college students hoping their pixel-advertising pitch will fund their education and careers. This group is concentrating on the vertical market of real estate with a website called ownonlinerealestate.com. Advertisers can purchase pixel which correspond to the approximate location of their properties. The Miami Herald has more. Marketing Blurb is considering a refinance of the Louisiana Purchase.
