Drug maker Bayer is running a novel advertising campaign for their popular Aleve pain reliever. Rather than run the same tired commercial over and over again, Aleve is featuring 31 new commercials for each day of May, which coincides with National Arthritis Month. Each commercial is a lifestyle vignette with real people who share their Aleve pain relief mini-bio. Marketing Blurb saw the first two spots on the evening news, and the spokespeople are sincere and credible to a fault. There is no print campaign, but you can see all the vignettes as they unfold on a website called Alevegoodnews.com. Bayer believes they are making advertising history.
