The Wall Street Journal (paid subscription required) that the 2005 Ford Mustang is only 65% American and Canadian part, while the Toyota Sienna, is assembled in Indiana from 90% American and Canadian parts.
Marketing Blurb is not surprised, and we are not especially troubled, either. The auto industry is international in scope. Consumers rarely play international politics with their wallets. They (meaning women, actually) purchase cars and trucks that meet their needs.
