We don’t talk about television commercials often, because we believe there are more
productive ways to spend an advertising budget. But it seems that savvy companies are taking commercials, posting them online, and encouraging that product enthusiasts pass them along. For example, Hardee’s has this monster new
Philly Cheesestake Thickburger. Each one will feed a family of four, or take four years off the life of whoever eats one. But Hardee’s does have a very clever commercial where a NY cabbie eating the burger is so unintelligible, that the spot features captioning of his commentary. But we think what is happening on their website is more important than the television placement. When you visit the
Hardee’s website, you can see the commercial online, add it to your MySpace page, download it to video iPod, or send it to a friend.
