number of reasons. First, movie theatre audiences are loud and rude. Next, movie theatres run commercials, and we don’t want to see those. Finally, the sound track for movies is too damned loud. (And this comes from someone who attended rock concerts in the 1960s that would explode your head.) So we were dismayed to learn from The New York Times today (free registration required) that a live advertisement is acted before off-Broadway performances of the theatrical production of Stomp. The Times describes this live advertisement in detail. We just want to say the theatre is no place for on stage advertising. Is nothing scared anymore?
