Marketing Blurb does not ask much from our shoes. We expect them to fit properly, and feel comfortable when we walk. We expect our athletic shoes to provide comfort and support when we use the treadmill. We never ask our shoes for advice or information. But maybe that is about to change. We just learned from Reuters, that Nike has announced a new pair of running shoes that will communicate with a runner’s iPod. This is a wireless system, mind you, called Nike+iPod. You enable the system, run, and the shoes tell your iPod the time of day, your distance traveled, pace and calories burned through the earbuds. We are not making up this story. Oh, and Nike is also introducing more performance clothing to keep your iPod and wires untangled and out of sight. So, how's it going with your shoes these days? Photo Credit: Reuters
