Plugging in to the Electronic Entertainment Expo
If you enjoy a quiet and peaceful existence, just skip this post. You don’t want to know about E3, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in LA this week. E3 is the industry E3.jpgvenue where videogame companies showcase their new releases for retail buyers and for whacked-out groupies who manage to score exhibit hall passes. But the real opportunity for the show is military training. The last time we attended, the volume of exploding aliens, bazooka fire, and racing engines was louder than Zed Zeppelin’s performance at Fillmore East in 1969. In fact, even years ago, we remember stepping outside the exhibit hall every fifteen minutes or so to catch our bearings. Expect to come home with a sore throat, because everyone inside the hall screams to be heard. But, we will keep an eye on the show for you, because product placements in videogames are more important than television commercials. Get with the program.
