Marketing Blurb hates to sound self-righteous, but we believe that
Pop-Tarts sponsoring the
American Idols Live Tour is a promo marriage made in heaven. We
believe this because those consumers likely to eat Pop-Tarts are the same people with the IQ necessary to watch
American Idol. One activity will rot your stomach, and the other will rot your brain. We say this for a
laugh, folks—
please no hate mail from fans of either. According to
Promo Magazine, “Pop-Tarts will host pre-concert events including Crazy Good Dancing and Karaoke, and will sample its newest flavor, Mint Chocolate Chip. Concert fans can again pose for photos with American Idol standees, then collect their photos from an online gallery.” We know this will make fans of Pop-Tarts and American Idol happy, and we will keep our high-brow opinions to ourselves in the future (maybe.)
