Now you might think that real men eat beef, but the answer is only maybe. As it turns out, men over 45 years old are more likely to have grown up with stay at home mothers who prepared dinner. These men commune with beef. But for men under 45 years old with working mothers, beef was synonymous with Hamburger Helper. These men fear the meat counter at the grocery case, because they are total clueless regarding cuts of the cow and their best culinary application. Fortunately, help is on the way. According to the Associated Press, meat processor, Cagill has created a new media campaign including beef packaging labels which help consumers figure out what to do with a particular cut of meat. This is especially useful for single men, or smaller households. Cagill company research found that 8 of 10 shoppers “were baffled by the meat case at their stores.” Marketing Blurb says serve ours rare.
