If you think Desperate Housewives is steamy, get ready for Footballer Wive$ from BBC America. This a UK import about to hit US television screens next month. According to a BBC America Press Release, US critics are primed: “Footballers Wive$ "makes Desperate Housewives look like a small-town sewing circle" (Star), "is Dynasty on several kilos of coke" (Seattle Post-Intelligencer), and "an R-rated Falcon Crest with faster-paced, more over-the-top plot developments" (Star-Tribune).” We’re talking pampered women here, (and if you are clueless, Footballers play soccer.) To generate buzz, BBC America has launched an online game called Everyone Plays Dirty, which  you can play in anticipation of the show.
