Marketing Blurb does not drink Sprite (or any other soft drink for that matter,) but we always liked their “Obey your thirst” tagline. We tell our marketing students this is a fine example of a convincing and easy to understand positioning statement. But despite our praise, Sprite market share has slipped in recent years. So agency Crispin Porter & Bogusky is trying another approach, more reminiscent of the beverage’s original lymon appeal. The make over includes a new logo with a stylized yin-yang lemon lime logo.
