The carts resemble miniature golf carts with room for two children less than 80 pounds each. There are seat belts, a steering wheel and a video player. A selection of videos is free for the duration of the shopping trip. Baskets to hold the groceries are mounted on the roof and truck of the carts. Marketing Blurb has mixed feelings about video carts. Yes, the carts will quiet and entertain fidgety kids. But we have this anxiety our society is raising a generation of children who only watch video without experiencing life. We heard about this from the Detroit Free Press.
