You know the Prestone antifreeze folks. They do not spend much money on advertising, but then again, there are few brands names in this category anyway. But Prestone has other products as well, including Bug Wash, a solution for removing bug debris from your windshield. And to promote this product in a cost-effective manner, Prestone decided to create an online game called BuzzKill. The game features a moving car, and you attempt to deflect the bugs before they splat. This is great fun, naturally. You can register for a discount coupon at the game site. "We wanted to create new buzz for an established product," said Ken Gaynor, Prestone product manager. The site is averaging about 135 visitors every hour.
