AARP magazine. In fact, think about at 21% increase in ad revenues for AARP the first quarter of this year. Smart marketers are following demographic trends of the 78 million Americans born between 1946 and 1964. The oldest boomers turned 60 in January. About half are now over 50. Boomers are healthy, happy, and ready to spend money. Oh, but we raise this caution again—no advertising stereotypes, please. Boomers are individualists, and smarter than Gen Y creative types.
