Every few weeks, Marketing Blurb has something to say about celebrity endorsements. Usually, we make fun of celebrities because their behavior routinely embarrasses the brand marketers they represent. But today, we just want to share a simple research survey from the American Affluence Research Center that says affluent customers are not influenced much by celebrity endorsements. “For the most part it’s not a particularly productive way to promote a brand,” AARC President Kurtz said of celebrities. ”I have a feeling it’s because affluent people are more sophisticated and skeptical consumers.
