The Wall Street Journal (paid subscription required) decided to do so for us. Journal staff members purchased over 75 bottles of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc chain store house brands for a blind taste testing. The wines are evaluated according to the categories of:
Yech, OK, Good, Very Good, and Delicious! The results are published in print and online, but our lips are sealed.
