Everybody and their dog wants a piece of Disney’s upcoming
Pirates of the Caribbean 
movie. (That is everybody who is not already wed to
Cars or
Superman Returns.) We can’t really understand the connection between
Volvo and the movie, but we do agree that the M&M’s candy tie-in makes sense. The M&M’s deal features the launch of new White Chocolate M&M’s, called
Chocolate Pirate Pearls during the promotion period. Pirates themes will appear on other M&M’s candy packages as well. There is a delightful
M&M’s Pirate website where fans watch webisodes of M&M’s pirate characters, and participate in a hidden treasure game. "M&M's candies has a history of being part of the movie experience—being the quintessential sweet movie treat," said Anibal Martini, marketing director for M&M's. "Pirates of the Caribbean is a blockbuster film filled with humor and adventure, much like the M&M's brand, M&M's brand characters and the entertaining experience we bring to consumers with a great tasting product."
