Once again, Marketing Blurb is perplexed by a confusing sweepstakes promotion. This time, the sponsor is Morton Salt. We all know and love the Morton Salt girl, who has been around since 1914. The premise of the sweepstakes is simple enough—participants answer trivia questions about the age old brand, and use their mouse to sprinkle salt over different renditions of the famous logo over time. But to reach the sweepstakes, participants must first sign-up at a cryptic registration page with mouse type, and there is no promotional copy to entice anyone to participate.
