No More Biggie Size It at Wendy’s
Marketing Blurb does not eat at Wendy’s. But we are still fond of their imperative to wendys_medium.jpg“biggie size it” whenever people order fries or soft drinks. We use the expression anytime we seek more of anything. But we just learned from Reuters, that Wendy’s is retiring the biggie size. Oh, so they are not really retiring the size, just the name. Think instead of small, medium and large. But depending on your favorite fast food watering hole, sizing can be confusing. At McDonald’s a 32 ounce drink is large. At Wendy’s a 32-ounce drink, which used to be called biggie, will now be a medium. But don’t panic, because Wendy’s will still offer a 42 ounce drink (the equivalent of 3 ½ cans of soda) as their new large size. Marketing Blurb cautions readers that 42 ounces of a soft drink consumed at one sitting by a single person is fatal. Of course, we like to believe this serving size is intended for a family of six. You can avoid any confusion by drinking water a home.
