Okay, folks—here is one headline we never wanted to post. We love Starbucks more than the next pundit. (Even when they screw around with their basic business model and pitch music and movies we don’t need.) But we just learned that Starbucks is preparing to rollout five new warm breakfast sandwiches already available in about 450 test stores. The sandwiches include “Peppered Bacon, Egg & Cheddar, Sausage, Egg & Cheddar Sausage, Reduced-Fat Turkey Bacon, Cholesterol-Free Egg & Reduced Fat White Cheddar, Eggs Florentine with Baby Spinach and Havarti and Black Forest Ham, Egg & Cheddar.” Now don’t get us wrong. We have nothing against a scone or muffin or pasty at Starbucks with our morning coffee. But the very term breakfast sandwich offends our sensibilities. If you must have a breakfast sandwich please go to the fast food drive through lane, and let us pretend we are in Paris. Photo Credit: Promo Magazine
