Months ago, we visited a beta site called Yahoo! Answers. We assumed this would be
a so-called
expert site, where once could pose a question to a subject expert. We should have known better. This is actually a
social networking answer site, where anyone can answer a question, and readers can vote on the quality of the answer. Yahoo! realizes that most people under 30 will trust their peers more than a personal visit from God. And to announce the official site launch, Yahoo! has erected a two-story inflatable purple brain over the Hard Rock Café Marquee in Manhattan. Inside the brain are 22 “brainiacs” who are answering questions from around the world. If you cannot make it to the brain in Times Square, there is a
promotion online where you can register to win prizes and read celebrity questions.
Marketing Blurb believes it would be more fun if the brain actually ate the Hard Rock Café and then lumbered down 6th avenue. Film at 11.
