Someday, the entire world will look like Times Square. But until then, if you want
attention, you should buy advertising on either the
Nasdaq Tower, or the
Reuters sign across the street from each other on Times Square. But what if you could buy both? Well, the answer is
Times Square Squared, a new ad buy offered by a partnership of Nasdaq and Reuters. It is hoped the double whammy will cut through the clutter of adjacent animated displays just in time for the busy tourist season. According to
The New York Times (free registration required,) “advertisers will have the option of running the same ad on both signs, or even half of the ad on one building and the other half on the other building. Or the two signs could work in tandem.” At present, Times Square advertising is a six figure proposition, but the new deal may boost the opportunity to seven figures. We’re talking about 17,000 square feet of combined advertising space here—so think big.
