with Transamerica celebrating their 100th anniversary. The left page includes iconic images from the past, and the right page includes a die-cut Transamerica tower. The die-cut beckons you to “start building your financial future today.” This involves tab A inside slot B, naturally, but the gimmick worked for us, and we happily build our own 6-inch high Transamerica Pyramid tower in San Francisco. The real tower was built in 1968. We hope Transamerica keeps their building and this brand symbol, even if they are acquired by Google in 20 years as the processing agent for cranial keyword payments. We are going to keep the paper tower by our computer to play with—and urge marketers to give their brand symbols tangible play value.
