But GM wants younger urban males to consider their HHR, Cobalt, Aveo and Equinox models. As such, GM has hired this trendy agency named Translation that helps companies match their products with the right celebrities. These are the folks who paired Justin Timberlake with McDonald’s. Marketing Blurb understands celebrity endorsements can be powerful, but we doubt there is a celebrity that can move these models for GM. We have said countless times that advertising cannot fix the US auto industry. We learned about this from Brandweek.
