Back in June,
Marketing Blurb told you about Aquapod, Nestles’ attempt to market
bottled water to kids. The Nestles’ campaign is now underway with a road show featuring two 18-foot mobile units in the distinctive shape of a giant Aquapod bottle. The custom vehicles recently left each coast and are driving to the heartleand visiting festival, fairs, sporting events, and retailers along the way until October. Nestle expects to distribute ½ million full-sized 11 ounce samples in route. Nestlé Waters North America is offering the new Aquapod water under its six regional brands Deer Park, Ice Mountain, Ozarka, Poland Spring, Zephyr Hills and Arrowhead.
Marketing Blurb believes pitching bottled water to kids is an uphill battle, but maybe the summer heat will win some converts in the targeted 6 to 12 year old audience.
