Back in the days when men were men and rock and roll was loud and sweaty, we heard Led Zeppelin perform at Fillmore East in Greenwich Village. Of course we would never believe that about thirty-five years later we would be a conservative marketing pundit, and that Led Zeppelin’s  tune Rock and Roll would be used to pitch Cadillac. Well, it seems that the days of rock and roll are over for the luxury car brand. According to The Wall Street Journal (paid subscription required,) Cadillac is dropping the popular rocking tune used since 2003 for a new approach. "We have a brand new campaign coming out, which won't include Led Zeppelin, and that pretty much says it all," says Kevin Smith, a Cadillac spokesman.
